Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often from independent professionals evaluating Reserva for their capital planning.

What exactly does Reserva do?

Reserva provides predictive capital analytics designed for independent professionals and freelancers. We combine your income patterns, obligations, and reserves into a forward-looking model so you can see how decisions today affect your financial position months ahead.

Who is Reserva built for?

Our platform is built for self-employed professionals, consultants, and small independent practices who manage irregular income and need clearer visibility into cash flow than standard accounting tools provide.

How is my financial data protected?

All data is processed within Germany in accordance with GDPR / DSGVO requirements. We apply encryption in transit and at rest, and access to account data is restricted on a need-to-know basis. Details are outlined in our Privacy Policy.

Do I need accounting or finance experience to use it?

No. The platform is designed to translate underlying financial data into plain, readable projections. You don't need bookkeeping expertise to interpret the outputs, though a basic familiarity with your own income and expense structure is helpful.

How long does setup take?

Setup time varies depending on how much historical data you connect or input manually. Most users complete initial configuration in a single session, with projections refining as more data becomes available.

Can I connect my existing accounting software?

Integration options depend on your current tools and account tier. During onboarding we review what data sources are available and recommend the most reliable way to bring them into your Reserva account.

Is Reserva a substitute for a tax advisor or accountant?

No. Reserva is an analytics and planning tool, not a substitute for professional tax, legal, or accounting advice. We recommend using our projections alongside guidance from a qualified advisor for tax filings and regulatory decisions.

What happens if my income changes significantly?

Projections are designed to be revisited regularly. When your income or expense pattern shifts, updating your data allows the model to recalculate and reflect your current trajectory rather than relying on outdated assumptions.

Can I cancel or change my plan later?

Yes. Plan changes and cancellations can be managed from your account settings. Specific terms regarding billing cycles and notice periods are described in our Terms of Service.

Is there support if I get stuck?

Yes. You can reach our team through the contact page, and we aim to respond to account and platform questions promptly during business hours.

Where is Reserva based?

Reserva operates from Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and structures its data handling around German and EU regulatory frameworks.
